The threat status shown is automatically detected from the official NCEMA X account (@NCEMAUAE) via X API, checked every 30 minutes. Status updates within approximately 90 seconds of NCEMA posting. Always verify current conditions via UAE MoD official channels and ncema.gov.ae.

Your GPS coordinates are processed entirely on your device. They are used only to calculate distances to shelters using on-device maths. They are never transmitted to any server, never stored, and never shared with any third party. The only external connections this app makes are to load map tiles from CartoDB (standard web map images, no location data included).
