ShelterNow.ai is developed and maintained by an independent private individual as a voluntary, non-commercial, not-for-profit public service to assist UAE residents during emergency situations. The developer receives no remuneration, sponsorship, or commercial benefit from this platform.

This platform is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any UAE government authority, including but not limited to NCEMA, the UAE Ministry of Defence, the UAE Ministry of Interior, Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, or any federal or emirate-level government entity.

DO NOT TRAVEL during an active missile or drone alert. Shelter in place immediately in the lowest floor of your building, away from all windows and exterior walls.

Use this platform only when it is safe to move between locations. Threat status displayed is auto-detected from official UAE government social media and may be delayed by up to 30 minutes. It must never be treated as a real-time safety confirmation.

Always follow NCEMA (@NCEMAUAE), UAE Ministry of Defence (@modgovae) and UAE Ministry of Interior (@moiuae) as the sole authoritative sources for emergency guidance.

Shelter location data was sourced from publicly available information and verified from open sources as of March 2026. Structural conditions, access routes, operating hours and capacity at any listed location may change without notice. The developer makes no representation that any listed location is currently operational, accessible, or designated as an official civil defence shelter by any authority.

This platform is provided "as-is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted under UAE Federal Law No. 5 of 1985 (Civil Transactions Law) and applicable emirate-level regulations, the developer expressly excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary loss, injury, damage or harm of any nature arising from or in connection with use of or reliance upon this platform, its data, or its threat status information. This exclusion applies regardless of whether such liability arises in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise.

The developer acts in good faith as a private individual providing a public benefit service during a declared emergency period, and invokes all protections available to voluntary public benefit actors under applicable UAE law.

If you choose to share your GPS location, it is processed entirely within your device to calculate distance to nearby shelters. Your location is never transmitted to any server, never stored, and never shared with any third party. The developer collects no personal data of any kind. This platform operates in full compliance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
